Who I AM
I’m Ahly, a somatic therapist, Hakomi practitioner, poet, mother, and lifelong student of the body’s wisdom.
As a somatic therapist, I work at the meeting place of body, psyche, and spirit, specialising in Hakomi, inner parts integration, and embodied healing.
For over a decade I’ve been devoted to understanding how we heal, how we express, and how we come home to the deeper Self beneath our conditioning.

I love to work in the realms of soul, embodiment, dreams, voice, playfulness, and presence.
My sessions weave mindful awareness, gentle somatic experiments, inner parts work, emotional literacy, and the healing power of relationship.

Above all, I offer a compassionate, attuned space where you can listen inwardly, meet yourself in those tender moments, and rediscover your own innate wholeness.

How I WOrk
I work gently and directly. I hold deep compassion for the wounds we gather through being human, and I trust the part in each of us that knows how to heal.
My role is to accompany you as you return to your Self—your clarity, your truth, your wholeness.

I love to play in the realm of souls, dreams, movement and playfulness. I utilise mindfulness, embodied experiments, playfulness, and the respectful relationship we foster in self exploration.

I trust the journey—a journey that at times feels full of paradox, and I hold steadfastly that each time we meet, it takes us closer to your own Self-truth and wisdom.

As I accompany you on this journey, I honour and delight in supporting you in coming home to your true nature; your true Self. This is the foundation of how I work; supporting your natural healing impulse to move towards your own sense of wholeness.

WHAT INFORMS MY PRACTICE
I am deeply committed to embodiment practices such as yoga, qi gong, singing & chanting. In addition I have been practicing meditation and mindfulness since 2009, receiving on-going mentorship from dharma teachers and friends.
I am a mum to a beautiful 10-year-old boy. Learning to be a 'mum' has been - and is - the most humbling, levelling, dismantling and heart opening experience; my greatest spiritual practice :-)

I am a poet, nature-explorer, singer and lover of life.

Therapy is a wonder-filled exploration into knowing your Self. I welcome and affirm you on your journey and will be honoured to hold space with you.
Why this matters to you
When you work with me, you’re not entering a technique—you’re entering a relationship that gently helps you listen inward, soften what’s been guarded, and reconnect with the parts of you that know how to heal.

My role is to offer an attuned, grounded space where you can explore your inner world safely, gain clarity, and build the capacity to meet life with more presence and ease.
This work is collaborative, gentle, and centred on your own natural movement toward healing. It honours the pace of your body and the wisdom already living inside you.
My Philosophy
At the foundation of how I work is the belief that we are innately whole and our body holds an intelligence that is always communicating with us to move us towards a state of harmony.
Hakomi gives us the tools to listen to this innate wholeness.

Jon Eisman, a foundational teacher in Hakomi, and subsequently the founder of Re-Creating Self describes how we create inner ‘trance states’—protective identities formed to keep us safe in difficult situations.
In Hakomi, we gently ‘pan out’ and learn to see these states with compassion, rather than living inside them.
These trance states aren’t see-able until we develop the ability to pan-out and view our experience.

That is what we practice in The Hakomi Way.
