Is it ok to Desire?
This ceremony is about you discerning what you choose to draw into your life, and stepping into your highest vibrational creative energy of manifestation.
Our collective intention sounds innocuous, but actually there is quite a bit steeped into it because, what we're really pointing to is desire.
Desire has a bad schtick in spiritual circles, and Christian circles, and many other circles. It is common to inherit the beliefs that desire creates attachments, desire leads us down crooked paths, desire causes passion, desires dictate our will-force and lead to addictions, and so on.
Not only that, we have developmental trauma associated with desire that is then repeatedly felt in the nervous system. When we experienced a need as a baby that was consistently unmet (as was common with scheduled feedings/touch) then we got the message that to cry out / long for / want something, was distressing, it won't be given. If chronic, the baby's nervous system shuts down; wanting something is now not felt as safe.
So there's a lot to unpack in just turning up with this intention. While we may have some idea of what we might want, what we are actually going to ignite for this ceremony is clearing out the energetic blocks to desire itself.
Desire, as seen from the view teachings of non-dual tantra lineages, is the emanation of Life. It is the direction of our will and intention and it allows us to let Life express through us as Life. Then we get to play creatively with this expression.
And for this task, we will call on Saraswati. She is the divine aspect of knowledge, creativity, music and poetry.
This knowledge isn't limited to learning and education, but the deep knowing where we attend to desire as sacred. This requires us to peel back to a deeper structure of consciousness, and to do that, I must put down my attempts to word-smith this, and rather, offer this air-time to the sages and poets.
The Power of Ritual: Amplifying Intentions with Cacao, Fire, Mantra, and Meditation
Using the heart opening technologies of Cacao, Mantra, Fire Havan & Kirtan to clarify our intention and bring it forth into the world
In these power-filled ceremonies, we create space to get clear on our personal and collective intention; and then we amplify this by opening our heart with the aid of the cacao elixir, purifying our mind with the fire havan and sacred mantra, and shifting into heart-mind coherence using the practice of kirtan and meditation. It's quite the formula!
We offer invocations to welcome, or call upon that particular aspect of divinity within our Self and within the cosmos. As above, so below; what is within the whole is within us also.
